Big Things happening in a small Town

So 2 Weeks ago was the Cimarron Territory Anniversary here. With that comes the Yearly Cow Chip Throwing Championship. Yes, there are people who volunteer to throw Cow Poop to see who throws the farthest and wins! Yay!! I haven’t volunteered yet but maybe in the Future I will. We shall see! But not only did they have the World Championship in Cow Chip Throwing, no, they also had little activities and a Parade going on. Matthew loved the Parade simply for the Fact that they were throwing Candy. He collected lots of Candy. I’m gonna post some pictures of the Parade and of Matthew risking his life getting Candy. It was fun though. It really was nothing Compared to big Cities but for the Small Town of Beaver it was HUGE! I made a troubling discovery! At least for me it’s shocking. I think I start to actually like where I live. Yay Me! I still would prefer living in a City where people don’t think it’s appropriate to Wear their Hunting Gear all Year around. I also don’t find it very attractive to see guys in Full Cowboy Get-Up all the time. Oh well, guess I just gotta have to get used to it.

Now,here are some pictures of the Parade :

Tornado Update

Hi Everybody,

well, I survived the Tornadoes and the Crazy Weather Yesterday.
A few minutes after my Blog entry, the Sirens started going off here in Beaver. Well, SIRENS mean TORNADO. I started Freaking out cause I was alone at Home and didn’t know what to do. So, I called my Husband at Work to let him know about what’s going on and to talk to him a last Time before I would die. Well, I didn’t die as you can see. The Sirens went off another time which really scared me. About 20 miles from us a Tornado touched down and killed 2 People. The couple’s Bodies were found about 75 Feet away from their House. Since they were living in the Country they didn’t hear the Sirens going off. My heart goes out to their Families. There are Videos of that Tornado but their not available for putting it in a Blog. So here’s the link to watch that Tornado on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgq0QuscU5s

You should definitely check it out.

Where I live

Hi Everybody,

I’m sure some of you were wondering where I live. Well, I live in a Small Town in the Oklahoma Panhandle. The Town is called Beaver. I think that’s a funny Name for a Town. In my 2 years living here so far I have discovered many things. Many things that all Lead to the following conclusion I have made.

THERE IS SIMPLY NOTHING TO DO AROUND HERE !!

At least not for someone like me. I was born in a Big City in Germany called WIESBADEN. For more Information on Wiesbaden Click Here. When I was 4 Years old my Parents decided to move to BAMBERG, which is Decent Size City. For more Information on Bamberg Click Here. So, for 20 Years of my Life I was able to go and do whatever I wanted. I love Shopping and all other things Related to City Living. I love to go to Museums, I love to sit in Cafe’s in the City and watch people. I love a lot of stuff a City has to Offer. Then I married and we moved here to Beaver. It sucks. I’m just not the Country kinda Girl. I don’t like to go hunting or Camping or Fishing. I don’t necessarily like to go Ride a Dirtbike. I don’t really care for Horses or Cows. Around here, that is what matters though. Since I don’t really like things associated with Country Living, I am quite the Outcast around here. I don’t have Friends. That’s why I started writing a Blog. I’m also not the most Religious person there is. That just adds to my Loneliness. People around here are very Religious and Conservative. That’s why it’s Called the BIBLE BELT. I’m pretty Liberal and I’m a Democrat. At this Point I might as well Bury myself.
So I guess that explains my Depressions Sometimes. Oh Well.
